Lodge Chief - Robert Connor

Meet the Chief
Since I was a young and eager tiger scout, I have always enjoyed scouting’s adventure. Now, as an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor Member from troop 30 I look forward to serving the Lodge and the Northwest Georgia Council for my third term as Lodge Chief. I can honestly say that being Lodge Chief has impacted my life more than I could ever express, and it is an experience that I will never forget. Throughout my time in the Lodge I have also had the privilege of serving the Lodge as the Vice Chief of Ceremonies and Ordeal Chairmen.
Outside of Scouting I am a Second Degree Black Belt, and an Assistant Instructor. I also attend Rome High School where I am a Senior who is currently the Senior Class Treasurer, FBLA President, National Honor Society Vice President, and a Student Ambassador. I also greatly enjoy serving as a member of the Student Leadership Team at West Rome Baptist Church.
All in all, I look forward to another amazing year and fulfilling my obligations to Scouts of the Northwest Georgia Council as the Chief.

Responsibilities
  • Be familiar with Order of the Arrow and Scouting policieces for Lodge Officers
  • Actively engages as Lodge Executive Committee Chairmen for the Executive Board.
  • Chairs Lodge Meetings and Lodge Executive Committee Meetings.
  • Chairs Lodge events and activities
  • Appoints Lodge Chairmen as necessary for the operation of specific lodge function.
  • Serves as the lodge representative at all  Waguli Lodge and council events, and personifies the ideals of Waguli lodge at all times.
  • Oversees the creation of the Planbook
  • Responsible for the Creation and Delivery of the Annual Report
  • Analyzing written lodge reports after Lodge Executive Committee Meetings

Vice Chief of Administration  

Serving as the Vice Chief of Administration is Joey Fletcher.

​My name is Joey Fletcher, and I am your Vice Chief of Administration. I am currently serving as Webmaster for Troop 89 and Treasurer for Crew 65. I am a Brotherhood member and have earned the Life Scout rank and Venturing award. For the 2017 year I had the privelege and honor to serve Waguli Lodge as Secretary and I am extremely excited to use my experience from this position to help me serve in my new position. I believe this is going to be a great year for Waguli Lodge!

    Responsibilities
  • Maintains all lodge records and LodgeMaster to maintain accurate information
  • Keep Lodge Membership database current.
  • Oversee the OA Unit Representative Program and Unit Relations Committee  
  • Maintains a list of active due paying members.
  •  Serves as Lodge Chief if the acting Chief is absent.
  • Oversees the Creation of the Lodge Planbook
  • Oversees the planing and execution of lodge trainings
  • Plans section requested trainings as needed
  • Responsible for lodge Registrations

Vice Chief of Program

Serving As the Waguli Vice Chief of Program is Jacob McAdams

I am Jacob McAdams, I am looking forward to serving all Arrowmen with an incredible at events. I have been involved with Scouting since cub scouts, and I joined OA in 2014. Since then, I have enjoyed serving the lodge in the position of head a service committee member, Head Elangomat, and last year I was appointed the position of Vice Chief of Program after TJ Nolan joined the United States Military. In scouting, I am an active Life Scout in Troop 30, and I am a Brotherhood Member, and when I am not doing something scout related, I spend most of my time as a successful team member of the Model Golf and Wrestling team.
Responsibilities
  • Plans lodge events and activities with the assistance and suggestions from Lodge Executive Committee
  • Works with Vice Chief of Fellowship to ensure optimal event program
  • Updating the Lodge "Where to go Camping Guide"
  • ​Oversees Lodge Camping Promotions
  • Updates Lodge History, and works to create a more extensive Lodge History.
  • Oversees Ordeal, Brotherhood and Service Committiees

Vice Chief of Ceremonies 

Serving as the Vice Chief of Fellowship is Drew Nelson

My name is Nick "sid" Gutierrez.I am a life scout out of troop 30 in shannon, GA. I am a brotherhood member and have been in the Order for 3 years.I have served on the LEC this past year as your Vice chief of Fellowship and I look forward to serving this year as your Vice chief of Ceremonies. I am a sophomore at East Paulding High school.  I look forward to serving you as I strive to fill my responsiblities my as Vice chief of Ceremonies and doing my part to better the lodge.   • Organize Lodge Ceremonies Practices
  • Ceremonies Promotion
  • Ceremonies Planning for events
  • Conducting a ceremonies retreat for all ceremonialist
  • Oversees the proper use of ceremonies supplies
  • Sending prepared Ceremonies teams to compete at Heartland Gathering
  • Planing and Executing all requested Arrow of light and Eagle Ceremonies.

Vice Chief of American Indian Affairs 

Serving as the Vice Chief of American Indian Affairs is Jonathon Pearson.

My name is Johnathon Pearson i'm a life scout from Troop 30. I went through my ordeal in 2014 and I now am  Brotherhood. I serve as the OA Rep for my troop. In the lodge i am the Vice Chief of AIA. This is my second term on the LEC as I was the Vice Chief of Program from 2015 to 2016. I go to Model High school which i'm a sophomore.I play high school baseball and travel baseball. I hope i can help all of you further yourself in the OA and in your Troops.I f you would like to know any about AIA please ask, and I am glad to serve you throughout this year.  
Responsibilities
  • Reruting and training Lodge Drum and Dance Teams
  • All Drum and Dance team promotion
  • Working with the Vice Chief of Ceremonies to assist in Ceremonies as needed
  • Responsible for Lodge owned supplies for all Drum and Dance teams
  • Responsible for Indian Affairs events ( excluding Ceremonies) at Heartland Gathering

Vice Chief of Fellowship 

Serving as the Vice Chief of Fellowship is Drew Nelson.

​My name is Drew Nelson, I am a Life Scout from Troop 30 in Shannon , Georgia. I joined OA in 2013, and I am a Brotherhood member. This is my first year on the LEC as the VC of Fellowship. I am enrolled at Model High School where I am a sophomore. Outside of scouting I really enjoy FBLA At  Model High School .This is going to be an amazing year, and I look forward to fullling my obligations as you ur VC of Fellowship.Yours in Brotherhood, Drew Nelson.

Lodge Secretary 

Serving as the Lodge Secretary is Lamar Lee

My name is Lamar lee, I am 15 years old, and I am a first class scout working towards star. I am currently in troop 82. I Live in Rome Georgia. I joined OA 2016, and I am an ordeal member in the OA. This is my first term on LEC as secretary. I attend Rome High School where I am a freshman. Outside of scouting i enjoy JROTC and I dance for my church. Thank you for allowing me to serve, and I hope to improve communications throughout my term. 



Responsibilities
  • The Creation and Distribution of a monthly copy of the Whipporwhill
  • Overseeing all Social Networking over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Remind Platforms
  • Asisit in the creation of the Lodge Planbook
  • Creation of Lodge Graphics
  • Taking ample amount of pictures at all lodge functions promotion and historical purposes.
  • Take Lodge Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

Lodge Treasurer  

Serving as the Lodge Treasurer is Chandler Dupree

My Name is Chandler Dupree. I have been in scouting since before I can remember, and I can't wait to continue my scouting as Lodge Treasurer. I obtained my Brotherhood in 2016, and Have never been on the LEC, but have some plans to help our lodge succeed in the future. In Troop 24 I am an active Eagle Scout who enjoys camping with my troop. In addition, I do shut put for track and field.
Responsbilities
  • Keep Records on Lodge Income and Expenses
  • Prepare a Lodge Annual Finical Report and Present it to Membership at Fall Fellowship
  • Asisit Vice Chief of Administration on record keeping of due paying members
  • Prepares Lodge Budget that is to be approved prior to the 1st of January
  • Assist the Staff Adviser with any transaction of money
  • Operates the Lodge Trading post at OA events

Communications Chair - Matthew Gunnels

  • Gather and write articles for the Whipporwhill as necesscary
  • Asisit in the formatting of the Newsletter
  • Creation of Lodge Graphics
  • Running all Lodge social Communications outlets
  • Creating Lodge Presentations and slideshows for events
  • Report Directly to Lodge Secretary.

Ordeal Chair - Patrick Feilds

My name is Patrick Fields i'm a junior and I go to Cedartown High school. I'm a life scout working on my eagle in Troop 21. I am also a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, and this is my first year helping with LEC and I am the Elangomat committee chairman. I am also an active member in FFA, and I really have enjoy hanging out with my friends
  • Recruit Elangomats for both Spring and Summer Ordeal
  • Plan and Oversee Ordeal Projects
  • Manage Elangomats and their Candidates
  • Contacting Candidates with Lodge Ordeal Information
  • Hold an Elangomat Trainings
  • Contact Ordeal Candidates to Encourage them on their journey to Brotherhood
  • Report Directly to Vice Chief of Program

Brotherhood Chair 

Serving as the Brotherhood Chair is Matthew Russell

My name is Matthew Russel, and I am extremely excited this year to serve as the Waguli Brotherhood Chair. Currently, I am a junior at Cedartown High school. In scouting, I am a life scout in troop 21. In Order of the Arrow I am a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. Outside of scouting I really enjoy anything outdoors, hiking backpacking canoeing, etc.

  • Update Waguli Brotherhood Conversion study Guide and Test

Service Chair - Timothy Procter

Serving as the Service Chairmen is Timothy Procter.

​I am Timothy Procter, and I am nineteen years old. I really love the Order of the Arrow and am excited to serve under the Vice Chief of program for the best possible experience for Waguli. As an active scout in troop 30, I earned my Eagle, and am still enjoy teaching those younger scouts in my troop. In the order of the Arrow, I am a brotherhood member. I graduated from Model High School, and currently work at the Kroger in Rome Georgia.
  • Recruiting members to work in teams during events to help with Lodge Set up.
  • Work with Vice Chief of Program to ensure all lodge event set up is conducted
  • Set up any necessary Ceremonies supplies as directed by the Vice Chief of Ceremonies
  • Works to ensure that all program areas are efficiently ruining effectively
  • Acts as the a quartermaster coordinator for all lodge events
  • Reports to Directly to Vice Chief of Program

Vigil Chair - Samuel Pankey

My name is Samuel Pankey, most of you probably know me as “Spankey”. I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 73 out of Chatsworth, Georgia. I am seventeen years old and a Senior at Murray County 5 High School. This is my Sixth year being a member of the Waguli Lodge, as well as my second year serving on the Lodge Executive Committee. I have been a reporter for the National Arrowman Press Corps as well as a Lodge Reporter and a Team Lead for Southern Region 9. I am greatly looking foward to this great honor and serving as to the best of my capabilities
  • Monitors and review the Vigil Nomination forms
  • Asisit in the Vigil Applications Process
  • coordinate a meeting of vigil youth to decide the next Waguli vigil members
  • Communicate regularly with vigil members to keep them informed lodge vigil events.
  • Reports directly to the Vice Chief of Fellowship

Unit Relations Chair - Andrew Welsh

Serving as the Unit Relations Chairmen is Andrew Welsh.

 my name is Andrew Welsh, and I am honored to have been appointed the 2018 Elections Committee Chair Head for Waguli Lodge. I am an Eagle Scout in Troop 30 and have been an arrowman since 2014. I have done many things in my illustrious scouting career including the following: I have attended five summer camps,  worked last years summer camp, and I also play several major parts in the Waguli Ceremony Team. The Order of the Arrow has been my favorite part of scouting and, I take pride in upholding the traditions of the Order of the Arrow. ​
  • Recruit Unit Elections Team members for each district to conduct unit elections
  • Scheduling Unit Elections
  • Preform all requested unit elections
  • Hold a Unit elections training at spring Pow Wow
  • Thoroughly know knowledge of national and waguli policy of unit elections
  • Preform troop vist as requested to give information on upcoming lodge and council events
  • Acts as the link between troop to lodge
  • Assist in managing Waguli OA representative Program
  • Sends out all pertinent information to Unit Representatives.
  • Reports Directly to the Vice Chief of Administration.
